CCS does Sell Direct TV satellite receivers and HDTV receivers
CCS is not buying any receivers. We are also not currently pursuing repair of FIVE LNB units manufactured under the DTV Logo. We do still have one Heck of an overstock of old NON-RID, Triple LNB units. Only DirecTV can tell you if your account can activate a Non-RID unit. We do not have any Sony RF Controlled units but generally we can repair yours. All receivers are covered by a six month "no fires or floods" guarantee. We cover the whole unit and will cover even electrical surges as warranty. You pay only shipping to CCS under this most generous offer. High Definition units: Hughes HIRD-E8 $100 These units are not just for DirecTV. They also pick-up all Terrestrial signals. This is "Antenna TV" for the Lingo challenged. NO access card or subscription is required to use the box in this fashion! The unit will pick up the New Digital broadcasts coming in off your rabbit ears (outdoor antenna would generally be nicer) and convert them to either a Composite (Yellow) S-Video or Component Signal. If you are hooked to the Component output you will get 1080i either in the signals native mode or converted if analog to the digital format. The unit will also convert a Digital 1080i HDTV signal to Composite or the S-Video jack to allow you to watch the new HD channels on your older TV set. These units also feature a Dolby jack for the best in Audio. This unit generates it's High Def output onto Component Video (Y, Pb, Pr,) It does not have any DVI jacks. It outputs a picture in 1080i or 480i but not both at the same time. (When the High Def jacks are on - the standard jacks are off) These are good solid units. We change the common failure components, QC and test them before we sell them. THESE UNITS ONLY RECEIVE SIGNAL FROM 3 LNB's. We do not know if any HD programming is still available on these old satellites. (DTV hasn't told us anything in a long time.)
